Livestock
Cattle
Our farm centers around a free range cow-calf herd using Charolais bulls as our cross of choice. We also have a mixture of Purebred and F1 cows consisting of:
- Charolais
- Hereford
- Simmental
- Black Angus
- Red Angus
Our cows are bred in fall naturally, with calves born in June-July. The weaning process happens at six to nine months. Once weaned they are divided into three groups:
- Replacement heifers
- Free range beef that stay on farm
- Feeder cattle that go off farm to be finished conventionally in feed lots.
Poultry
We raise free-range, antibiotic free laying hens
