Livestock

Cattle

Our farm centers around a free range cow-calf herd using Charolais bulls as our cross of choice. We also have a mixture of Purebred and F1 cows consisting of:

  • Charolais
  • Hereford
  • Simmental
  • Black Angus
  • Red Angus

Our cows are bred in fall naturally, with calves born in May-July.  The weaning process happens at six to nine months. Once weaned they are divided into three groups:

  • Replacement heifers
  • Free range beef that stay on farm
  • Feeder cattle that go off farm to be finished conventionally in feed lots.

Poultry

We raise free-range, antibiotic free poultry including:

  • Meat Chickens
  • Laying Hens (eggs)
  • Christmas Turkeys

Pork

The recent addition to Kingston View Farms has been free-range pigs for pork production.
